PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Interdeck provides an excellent slip resistant finish. It contains a fine aggregate and will apply easily on all substrates. * Low sheen finish prevents dazzling reflected sunlight off decks * Easy application * Available in a range of colours The tough polyurethane resin protects decks against everyday wear and tear. Abrade with 280-320 grade (grit) paper. In Poor Condition: Remove all previous coatings and prime the substrate. PRIMING: All preparation for bare substrates is covered on the appropriate primer datasheet. BARE WOOD: Prime with Yacht Primer or UCP. STEEL: Prime with Yacht Primer or Interprotect. ALUMINIUM: Prime with Etch Primer followed by either Yacht Primer or Interprotect. GRP: Wash down with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Abrade with 180-220 grade paper. No priming necessary. AGED/WEATHERED GELCOATS: Due to the potentially porous nature of aged/weathered gelcoats the risk of solvent/moisture entrapment after painting is much higher than when gelcoat is new. As a result this entrapment could lead to blistering of the paint film. To reduce the risk of paint film blistering it is recommended that 3 coats of Interprotect are applied to seal the gelcoat. Interprotect must be overcoated with Perfection Undercoat prior to topcoat application. ALL SUBSTRATES: If any filling is required use the appropriate product from the Interfill range. Method Sand the primer with 180-220 grade wet or dry paper. Remove dust with a dust wipe. Apply 1-2 coats. Hints Mixing Stir well before use. Thinner YTA800 Thinners No.1 Cleaner YTA800 Thinners No.1 Ventilation and Humidity Control Apply in dry, well ventilated conditions. Other For best results either stipple by brush or use a mohair roller. Some Important Points Product temperature should be minimum 10°C and maximum 30°C. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Compatibility/Substrates Suitable for all substrates and filled surfaces. Not suitable for permanently immersed surfaces. Do not clean with highly alkaline cleaners. Number of Coats 1-2 Coverage (Theoretical) - 9.50 (m²/lt) Recommended DFT 50 microns dry Recommended WFT 93 microns wet Application Methods Brush, Roller TRANSPORTATION,STORAGE AND SAFETY INFORMATION Storage GENERAL INFORMATION: Exposure to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full shelf life of Interdeck to be realised ensure that between use the container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5°C/40°F and 35°C/95°F. Keep out of direct sunlight. TRANSPORTATION: Interdeck should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage. Safety GENERAL: Read the label safety section for Health and Safety Information, also available from our Technical Help Line. DISPOSAL: Do not discard tins or pour paint into water courses, use the facilities provided. It is best to allow paints to harden before disposal. Remainders of Interdeck cannot be disposed of through the municipal waste route or dumped without permit. Disposal of remainders must be arranged for in consultation with the authorities.
