    A traditional yacht varnish with UV resistance. Features include excellent flexibility, ease of application, good gloss retention, and non-blooming qualities. A high clarity finish especially suited to lighter colour timbers.

    APPLICATION AND USE
    Preparation PREVIOUSLY VARNISHED WOOD:
    In Good Condition: Clean the surface with Super Cleaner. Sand smooth with 280-320 grade paper. Remove sanding dust with thinners.
    In Poor Condition: Remove all previous coatings.
    BARE WOOD: Sand smooth with 80-180 grade paper and then 280 grade paper. Remove sanding dust by brushing, dusting and wiping. If wiping with solvent then allow to dry completely before applying the first coat.
    Priming bare wood:: Apply Intertox or UCP. If UCP has been omitted thin the first coat by 10-15% with Thinner No.1.


    Method Apply a minimum of 3 unthinned coats, more if using a roller. For best results sand smooth between coats with 320-400 grade wet or dry paper. Avoid using direct from the can. Pour the amount you expect to use in a separate container.

    Airless Spray Pressure: 176-210 bar. Tip Size: 1365-1580.
    Conventional Spray Pressure: 2-3 bar. Tip Size: 1.1-1.4 mm. Thin 25-30% with Thinner No.3
    Roller If applying by roller, lay off with a brush or pad otherwise air bubbles may become trapped in the film.
    Other For Airmix spray application: Pressure: 2 bar. Tip Size: 06-113. For best results sand lightly between coats with 320-400 grade paper. Avoid using direct from the can. Pour the amount you expect to use in a separate container.


    Some Important Points Use above the waterline only. Do not use below 5°C. Avoid painting in direct sunlight. Product temperature should be minimum 15°C and maximum 35°C. Ambient temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F. Substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C/40°F and maximum 35°C/95°F.


    Compatibility/Substrates Suitable for use on all types of wood except direct application on oily timbers such as Teak and Iroko.

    TRANSPORTATION,STORAGE AND SAFETY INFORMATION
    Storage GENERAL INFORMATION:
    Exposure to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full shelf life of Original to be realised ensure that between use the container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5°C/40°F and 35°C/95°F. Keep out of direct sunlight.
    TRANSPORTATION:
    Original should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage.

    DISPOSAL: Do not discard tins or pour paint into water courses, use the facilities provided. It is best to allow paints to harden before disposal.
    Remainders of Original cannot be disposed of through the municipal waste route or dumped without permit. Disposal of remainders must be arranged for in consultation with the authorities.
