We offer a selection of International products that provide protection and treatment from osmosis. Applied correctly they offer an additional barrier to moisture, preventing/delaying the hull from taking in any water. Osmosis is caused by a chemical reaction between water and other substances remaining in the manufactured hull. Pressure builds up behind the gelcoat which causes the hull to blister and eventually crack. Once the gelcoat is breached, laminate beneath is capable of absorbing and retaining moisture. Market leading International paints have formulated a series of treatments such as Gelshield, Gelshield Plus and Gelshield 200. All are quick drying and if applied correctly very effective.
