Offers
protection in low to medium fouling conditions where a hard, scrubbable
antifouling is required. Ideal for fast powerboats, propellers,
outdrives, sterngear and the waterline. * Medium strength, hard
antifouling based on Biolux Technology - a unique system of organic
boosting biocides in a highly effective controlled-release film * Hard, scrubbable finish to allow clean-off if needed * Suitable for burnishing to provide a smooth finish * Aluminium compatible formulation * Range of bright colours |

| Preparation |
PREVIOUSLY ANTIFOULED SURFACE: In Good Condition: Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. If old antifouling is incompatible or unknown, seal with Primocon. In Poor Condition: Use Interstrip to remove all traces of antifouling. PRIMING: All preparation for bare substrates is covered on the appropriate primer datasheet. BARE GRP: Gelshield 200 for osmosis protection, or Primocon. STEEL/IRON: Prime with Interprotect or Primocon. LEAD: Etch Primer followed by Interprotect or Primocon. WOOD: Preserve, if required, with Intertox. Prime with Interprotect or Primocon. ALUMINIUM/ALLOY: Interprotect, or Etch Primer followed by Primocon. |

|
| Method |
Apply 2-3 coats on the area to be coated per season. |
|
|
| Hints |
Mixing Stir well before use. Thinner YTA085 Thinners No.3 Thinning Thinning is not recommended. Cleaner YTA085 Thinners No.3 Airless Spray Pressure: 176-210 bar. Tip Size: 2180. Other For
Airmix spray application: Pressure: 2.5 bar. Tip Size: 20-113. Take
care to apply all the paint calculated even if it means applying an
extra coat. It is important for performance to apply the correct
thickness. |
|
|
| Some Important Points |
To
prevent premature failure, ensure the correct amount of paint is
applied using the coverage as a guide. Product temperature should be
minimum -5°C and maximum 35°C. Ambient temperature should be minimum
-5°C and maximum 35°C. Substrate temperature should be minimum 1°C
above dew point and maximum 35°C. |
|
|
| Compatibility/Substrates |
Suitable
for use on all substrates including suitably primed Aluminium/Alloy and
Zinc-sprayed metals. Can be applied direct over most types of
antifoulings, provided they are in sound condition. |

| Storage |
GENERAL INFORMATION: Exposure
to air and extremes of temperature should be avoided. For the full
shelf life of Trilux to be realised ensure that between use the
container is firmly closed and the temperature is between 5°C/40°F and
35°C/95°F. Keep out of direct sunlight. TRANSPORTATION: Trilux should be kept in securely closed containers during transport and storage.
|
|
|
| Safety |
GENERAL:
Contains biocides. Antifoulings should only be wet sanded. Never dry
sand or burn-off old antifoulings. Read the label safety section for
Health and Safety Information, also available from our Technical Help
Line. DISPOSAL: Do not discard tins or pour paint into water
courses, use the facilities provided. It is best to allow paints to
