Making A Purchase
Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept payment by all major credit/debit cards including Mastercard, Visa, Visa Debit & Maestro.
For stock items, payment is taken when the goods are ready for dispatch.
For non-stock items, special order items, outboard engines and at our discretion on other items, payment may be taken upon receipt of order.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. This relates only to the items listed on the invoice. Please see the sections below for more information on back-ordered items.
Please note that many of our Clearance items are old stock and therefore have been in stock for some time and may have older packaging. The items themselves are in new condition and have no known defects or imperfections unless otherwise stated. For obvious reasons, we are unable to offer replacement goods or parts for these items though should they develop faults at any time we will attempt to repair or substitute goods where practical (see guarantee section).
Whilst we make every effort to ensure the details and images shown area as accurate as possible, small modifications and updates by manufacturers are not always shown or described. should any product ordered differ significantly from the description given, we will of course provide a replacement or refund upon return of the original purchase.
Shipping And Handling
Shipping is via Royal Mail or established courier services. Products are despatched on receipt of payment throughout the normal working week. We do not despatch on Weekends or public holidays.
Carriage costs are calculated, by the total weight of the products purchased and the type of delivery chosen.
Delivery to any address outside the UK mainland is by arrangement only.
Handling/Excess charges are only made for products where standard delivery services do not offer adequate facilities for the safe carriage of these items.
If you feel that your order has not arrived in a reasonable amount of time, please contact us with your purchase details and we will address the problem.
For security reasons, we do not offer shipping to any other address other than the registered address of the payment card used.
We will make every effort to dispatch all orders for products held in stock within 24 hours of receipt of order. Due to availability of delivery services, items are only dispatched during standard working hours (Mon-Fri), but may be collected in store from Yacht Chandlers Conwy, at Conwy Marina North Wales. Some of our products are available through special order only, in which case we shall place an order with our supplier immediately upon receipt of a customer's internet order. The requested item will then either be shipped direct from our supplier to you the customer, or dispatched as soon as we receive it in store, usually within 7 days. If there are any issues with availability of stock, we will aim to contact you as soon we encounter the issue via email to enquire as to what course of action you would like to take.
Standard delivery - This delivery option uses either Royal Mail or equivalent services. The cost is determined by the value, dimensions and weight of the product(s), and normally reaches you within 5 days from despatch*. Services may require for a signature to confirm delivery of the product. This service does not have a guaranteed time schedule and we advise anyone requiring delivery within a specified period to contact us prior to ordering to confirm availability and delivery times.
Overnight Delivery - This option enables you to have your goods delivered by courier on a next day service. Any orders received before 2pm will be processed the same day and should therefore arrive with the customer the next working day. Any orders received after 2pm will be processed as quickly as possible but we cannot guarantee that delivery will be possible the next day. There may be occasions where items may be out of stock and overnight delivery would not be possible in which case we will contact you to determine the best solution.
Collect In store - Our Marina Shop is open 7 days a week**. With easy access from the main A55 trunk road into North Wales, it is easy to arrange to collect your purchases and save yourself on delivery costs. We will contact you to confirm your purchase and arrange a suitable time for your goods to be picked up. Please note that there is usually a minimum period of 24 hours from order before goods are available for collection
* - Delivery to Highlands and Islands and to some other areas of the U.K. may take longer.
** - The Shop closes between Christmas and New Year.
At our discretion, we may upgrade or alter the delivery method to give you a better or more efficient service. This should in no way diminish the level of service or increase the delivery time indicated.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you.
Should your order not be available within a reasonable amount of time, we will contact you to establish your choice of action:
- Ship the stocked items and cancel the back-order items.
- Ship the stocked items and send the back-order seperately***.
- Ship all items together once available.
- Cancel the whole order
Items placed on back-order will be dispatched on the day that they become available, and as such should normally be dipatched within 7 days of the order being received.
*** - This may involve an additional charge at our discretion.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added.
Credit Card Security
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Credit card transactions are processed directly on our in-store credit card terminal.
To prevent fraud, all our transactions undergo security checks and to ensure your order is processed without delay, we ask that you check your invoice & delivery adress is identical to that printed on your payment card statements, and that all details ae checked thoroughly before confirming your order.
All products, unless otherwise stated, come with a standard 12 month manufacturer's warranty. Goods considered to be faulty must be returned for inspection with a full description of the fault, and proof of purchase (invoice/receipt showing date purchased and purchase price). If the item is deemed to be faulty and covered under warranty, we will refund any postage or delivery costs incurred by you.

Our staff are here to help with any aspect of your purchase. Please be aware that specific technical questions and quotes for certain items/services (including special delivery) may take longer to prepare and we therefore recommend using e-mail wherever possible.
Yacht Chandlers Conwy do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

We do understand that despite our outstanding service and highest quality of goods, customers will still sometimes decide to returns products to us. If you are not completely happy with your purchase please let us know via telephone or email.
Unwanted Items must be sent to us unused, in their original unopened packaging within 28 days of receipt . Upon receipt we will exchange or refund your purchace in full, excluding any carriage charges provided special conditions of supply are not applied to the product. Please include a covering letter and your contact details.
If you receive your items and we have sent the wrong product or the items you have received are in any way damaged then please contact us via telephone within 48 hours of receiving your items and we will replace the items totally free of charge.
If you return goods because they were ordered incorrectly or a wrong size was ordered, then we will not be able to refund any carriage costs. We may also charge you an additional handling fee, or if the goods were specially ordered and not held in stock we may refuse to accept the goods for return. This will be entirely at our discretion. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge additional carriage on the replacement.
Special order items: - any item that is ordered in specifically for a customer (e.g. Jeanneau boat part or Outboard Engines goods) cannot be returned unless faulty and in such cases the item will be repaired or replaced at our discretion.

We'll deliver all your order in 1 delivery. If some of the items you have ordered are not in stock, this means you might need to wait a little longer. If you are in a hurry, you can choose our express delivery option where we'll part ship your order if some items are in stock and some not, for a flat postage fee.
